About AppSEO
The App SEO Platform Built for Developers
MY STORY
You built something good. The code is clean, the product solves a real problem, and the few users who found it actually love it. But search rankings tell a different story. Your app is invisible, buried under affiliate roundups and competitors with bigger budgets. App SEO is supposed to fix that, except the field is a mess. Advice is scattered across forums, agency blog posts written for enterprise marketing teams, and tool dashboards that assume you already know what you are looking for. The guides that do exist were written years ago for a search landscape that no longer exists.
AppSEO was built to fix that. One resource that covers the full spectrum of getting software discovered: App Store Optimization, web app and SaaS SEO, and technical SEO for developers. No fluff, no agency-speak, just what works.
What we cover
App Store Optimization
Apple App Store and Google Play work on different rules, and the gap between a top-ranked listing and an invisible one usually comes down to a handful of decisions made in the first week. We cover keyword research for both stores, metadata optimization, screenshot and preview strategy, review generation, and the ranking factors that actually move installs. Each store gets its own playbook because what works on one rarely transfers cleanly to the other.
Web App and SaaS SEO
Most SEO advice assumes a server-rendered marketing site, not a single-page React app or a Next.js project with client-side routing. We write specifically about technical SEO for React, Next.js, and other JavaScript frameworks, server-side rendering decisions, Core Web Vitals tuning, content strategy for software products, and the link building patterns that work for tools rather than blogs.
Research and Tools
Knowing what to do is half the work. Knowing how to find out is the other half. We publish keyword research workflows, SERP analysis breakdowns, competitive research methods, and honest tool reviews across the app SEO stack. When a tool is worth the subscription we say so, and when a free workflow gets you eighty percent of the result we explain how to run it.
How we work
Practical over theoretical
Every guide on AppSEO is based on what works today, not what worked in 2018. We test strategies on real apps, compare tools against real data, and update content when rankings shift. If a tactic stops working we say so in the original article rather than burying the correction in a new post. The goal is content you can act on this afternoon, not theory you have to translate before you can use it.
Developer-first
We write for people who understand code and data. No jargon that requires a marketing degree to parse, and no hand-waving where a technical explanation exists. If the answer involves a log file, a rendering pipeline, or a schema diff, that is what we show you. Concepts are explained the way an engineer would explain them to another engineer.
Transparent
We show our reasoning, including when a popular strategy turns out to be less effective than advertised. Honest analysis beats cheerleading, and saying “this did not work for us, here is why we think that happened” is more useful than another generic success story. When we recommend something, you can see why.
Start wherever your problem lives. Browse our guides for tactical walkthroughs, or read the app SEO fundamentals piece if you want the full picture before going deeper. If you want new articles, teardowns, and tool experiments in your inbox without checking back, sign up for the newsletter at the bottom of any page. No spam, just the work as it gets published.
